Wicked Sick Refunds, Shattering Funding Goals, and a Surprising Reception
We didn’t see it coming either, guys
We’re all going to ignore the fact that we were supposed to launch almost two weeks ago, right? Guys?
We were a bit hunkered down playing an early access title by Moon Studios, the same developers who brought you the Ori games. That’s a good excuse, if we do say so ourselves.

Cities: Skylines 2 Issue Refunds, Developers and Publishers Apologize for Rushing DLC
Cities: Skylines 2 released a DLC followed by refunds and a wicked big apology. Kudos to them for it. Beach Properties fell short of expectations according to the community and online reviews, and the CEOs of publisher Paradox Interactive and developers Colossal Order stepped up.
Players who purchased the DLC outright can request a full refund.
Those who received Beach Properties through Cities: Skylines 2 Ultimate Edition will be compensated in the form of three Creator Packs and three radio stations.
Want to try Beach Properties? Good–it’s now completely free. Take it for a spin.
Here at YG, we have nothing but respect for these teams and their respective CEOs admitting fault. Now the burning hot spotlight is on them to deliver a proper DLC in the future that doesn’t replicate these same pain points for players.
Runa, a Kickstarter JRPG, Hits Nearly 3X Funding Goal in First 4 Days
Runa, a JRPG that looks like a ton of fun, gets funded in just 18 hours after launching on Kickstarter. With a Discord server of under 1,000 members and a medium-sized social media presence, the humble team of three seem elated and thankful (and perhaps a bit surprised).
At the time of writing, Runa hit $133,332 on Kickstarter out of a $47,981 funding goal.
New stretch goals were announced after the 48-hour mark when they hit 210% funding.
Felix, one of the developers, continues to share in-depth information in the comments on their Kickstarter page.
Runa features a huge open world, ruins, and a signature-sounding city referred to as Passage of the Clouds. Mixed with turn-based combat, romantic partners to woo, and a mix of base building with elemental puzzles, we’re glad this ambitious team exceeded their own expectations.
No Rest for the Wicked Enters Early Access
No Rest for the Wicked is the newest release by Moon Studios, the same developers who brought us Ori and the Blind Forest and the sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. But their new title isn’t off to a star-studded start.
Reports of performance issues break out throughout Reddit and Twitter.
CPU limitations and bottlenecks have been reported by players.
No Rest for the Wicked currently has mixed reviews on Steam. Ouch.
As far as gameplay goes outside of social media politics? The combat is fun, it’s a title we could easily see ourselves getting lost in, but it definitely needs the precursor of being an early access game. The story and concept are captivating, we just hope the full release brings that Moon Studios feel we all know and love.
